Story
Family Farm
I grew up gardening with my mom, and continue to enjoy growing a small garden. When we moved to our farm in 'the county' my husband encouraged me to choose a crop we could grow commercially. I landed on Garlic. I chose garlic for its taste and versatility, its health benefits, and its storage life. I also loved that we get to plant it during our beautiful fall weather. Thus, The County Clove was born. My family and I enjoy working together on our little farm, and continue to make memories in the garlic field, along with really good garlic!
Organically Grown
We grow our garlic using all organic practices and hope to apply for organic certification in the future as our farm continues to grow.
Pathogen Testing
Samples of our garlic are tested annually by the UMaine Plant Disease Diagnostic Lab. We test for Garlic Bloat Nematode, White Rot and Botrytis neck rot.
